Neurotech startup Paradromics has successfully implanted its brain-computer interface in a human for the first time during a neurosurgery procedure at the University of Michigan. The Connexus Brain-Computer Interface aims to assist patients with severe motor impairments, and the company plans to initiate clinical trials pending regulatory approval. Paradromics is part of a growing field of BCI technology development, alongside other notable companies like Neuralink and Synchron.
