Anthropic has teamed up with Tata Consultancy Services to speed up enterprise rollouts of its Claude AI models. TCS will set up a dedicated business unit for deploying Anthropic’s technology across its client base. In return, TCS gets early access to upcoming model releases. The firm plans to put Claude into the hands of its 50,000-plus employees, building hands-on expertise as it integrates the assistant into real-world workflows.
Both companies will target financial services, healthcare, telecommunications and aviation. In the U.K., TCS’s Diligenta arm — which handles life and pensions for over 22 million customers — will use Claude for customer service and back-office automation. Meanwhile, TCS iON, the digital learning arm, will roll out training and certification programs on Anthropic’s models. TCS also intends to contribute tools—claims adjudication, lending advisory—to Anthropic’s Claude Code ecosystem.
Anthropic has been expanding in India, now its second-largest market. Over the past year it opened a local office, hired senior staff and forged deals with Infosys and others. This latest pact with TCS underscores a shift: frontier AI startups are tapping established IT services firms to build enterprise distribution channels in India.
The move comes against a backdrop of skepticism about India’s $315 billion IT services sector as AI gains momentum. TCS and Infosys shares have slid roughly one-third since January. By embedding Claude into TCS’s global delivery network, both sides hope to counter that downturn and cement AI-driven services as their growth engine.
