Anthropic’s shares just traded on Forge Global at a $1 trillion valuation, topping OpenAI’s roughly $880 billion price tag on the same platform. That marks a huge jump from Anthropic’s $380 billion valuation only three months ago. Forge Global lets investors buy shares in private companies, and Anthropic’s spike seems driven by scarcity: shareholders are swamped with unsolicited bids.
Investor enthusiasm ties back to Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding chatbot, and big-name partnerships with Amazon and Palantir. According to Business Insider, Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate climbed from $9 billion in late 2025 to $39 billion by March 2026. Jesse Leimgruber, an Anthropic investor, says he received an offer valuing his stake at $1.05 trillion, while Wisdom Ventures partner Bradley Horowitz notes daily bids ranging from “ridiculous to sublime.”
Rainmaker Securities CEO Glen Anderson got a $960 billion offer on Anthropic shares, calling it a “generational opportunity in AI.” Some bids even include property trades in exchange for equity. Both Anthropic and OpenAI have been contacted for comment but haven’t responded yet.
