Once you join, you’re paired with doctors, nurses, mental health advocates and social workers from your community. They’ll arrange specialist visits, answer urgent questions, even bring hospital-level care into your home if you need it. They also handle everyday needs—groceries, childcare support, housing help—and coordinate with your current providers so nothing falls through the cracks. Cityblock operates in New York, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Ohio and Indiana, with more states coming soon. They have physical clinics in some areas and offer 24/7 virtual and in-home urgent care where state laws allow. For emergencies, they remind you to call 911. Their model grew out of real cases, like Luisa’s: she preferred natural seizure remedies, but her primary doctor refused.
