Anthropic just rolled out repeatable routines for Claude Code, so you can schedule automations that run on Anthropic’s servers instead of relying on your Mac being online. It’s available now as a research preview. Routines come pre-wired to your repositories and connectors, so you skip the hassle of setting up cron jobs, servers or extra tooling. You can trigger API workflows, GitHub tasks or any other scheduled job straight from Claude Code.
The number of routines you can run depends on your plan: Pro users get five per day, Max users 15, and Team or Enterprise accounts 25. If you already use Claude Code to speed through development cycles, this adds a layer of hands-off scheduling that reduces manual upkeep.
Alongside routines, the Claude app for Mac got a major redesign. You can now open multiple Claude sessions in one window and switch between them via a new sidebar. There’s a built-in terminal, file editor, HTML/PDF preview pane and a faster diff viewer. Everything sits in a drag-and-drop layout you tailor to your workflow.
